Jenna Day, M.A., CCC-SLP, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Akron. While earning her Master’s Degree, Jenna served as a graduate assistant in the University of Akron’s Augmentative-Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT) lab and has expertise providing evaluation and treatment services to pediatric and adult clients with complex communication needs throughout her entire career. After graduation, Jenna started her career as an SLP in a large school district in Columbus, Ohio where she was also a member of the district’s AAC/AT team. In 2016, she moved to Northeast Ohio where she had opportunities to serve as an SLP in a specialized school for children on the autism spectrum, and as an AAC Consultant providing AAC evaluations, intervention and education to local urban and rural school districts. Jenna also had the opportunity to serve as a clinical supervisor and coordinator in a university setting, primarily completing AAC evaluations, and providing supervision and teaching related to AAC. Throughout all her career opportunities, Jenna provided AAC education and implementation support to clients, family members, caregivers, and school teams.
Jenna holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), an Ohio Speech-Language Pathology license, and an Ohio Department of Education - Pupil Services License.
