PRC-Saltillo and the AAC Language Lab® are teaming up with Building Wings™ to bring even more LAMP Words for Life® and Unity® resources into your classroom. These tools give educators practical ways to support language, literacy, and authentic communication with your students who use AAC, or augmentative and alternative communication.
“Too often, AAC communicators in school systems face barriers to finding meaningful, accessible literacy resources,” said Sarah Wilds, CEO of PRC-Saltillo. “By partnering with Building Wings, we are supporting the dedicated educators and teams who are already making inclusion possible—by giving them practical tools and resources tailored for LAMP Words for Life and Unity in the classroom.”
“Literacy is the foundation for every learner’s success,” added Don Johnston, CEO of Building Wings. “Our partnership with PRC-Saltillo represents an exciting step forward in making comprehensive literacy and robust communication support accessible to more educators and students.”
The first wave of resources is created for third grade and up as part of Building Wings’ Readtopia . You’ll find resources that explain these powerful, research-based Minspeak® vocabulary systems, plus ready-to-use materials so your students can thrive with unique motor plans and multi-meaning symbols. Let’s make AAC awesome for everyone!
Created to help your LAMP WFL and Unity communicators actively engage in the curriculum and spark growth in communication and literacy skills, explore these new resources on the AAC Language Lab.
“Designed to be downloaded and immediately put into use, these resources will be so helpful for classroom staff teaching students who use our vocabulary systems,” said Beth Waite-Lafever, M.A., CCC-SLP-ATP, Literacy Initiative Developer at PRC-Saltillo. “This is just the beginning of resources we will be offering.”
