Em Clemons

Em Clemons, MOT, OTR/L – Em earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of California Davis in 2013. After working as a paraeducator, Em then completed a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Degree at Colorado State University in 2017. Em served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Assistive Technology Resource Center, where they taught and provided direct clinical intervention in the areas of AAC, literacy support, universal design, and alternative technology access methods. Em has a range of clinical occupational therapy experience in early intervention, school-based, and outpatient pediatric settings. Their career has allowed them to work with individuals with complex bodies and communication needs on positioning, fine motor skills, sensory integration, and activities of daily living. Most recently in outpatient rehabilitation, Em collaborated with colleagues and families on AAC implementation and provided ongoing therapy for children with a diverse array of developmental and communication disorders. As an OT, Em’s passion is supporting people in accessing full participation in their meaningful home and community activities.  They are a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist in the state of California. Em is thrilled to continue their AAC journey with PRC-Saltillo to meet the needs of AAC users and their support teams in Northern California.
