App Sale Timing

What time does the app sale start?

The app sale launches on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The App Store may not update for everyone at the same time depending on time zone and device settings. Make plans to purchase your app in advance of the Tuesday, October 28 end date.

I missed the sale. Can I still get the sale price?

The app sale takes place Wednesday, October 15 to Tuesday, October 28, 2025 only. Unfortunately, the sale price is not available before or after these dates. The App Store may not update for everyone at the same time depending on time zone and device settings. Make plans to purchase your app in advance of the Tuesday, October 28 end date.

App Sale Cost and Purchasing

What is the sale price?

The discounted rate will be listed on the App Store during the sale dates (October 15-28). 

• LAMP Words for Life (Regular price: $299.99 USD; SALE PRICE: $149.99 USD)
• TouchChat (Regular price: $299.99 USD; SALE PRICE: $149.99 USD)
• Unity AAC (Regular price: $299.99 USD; SALE PRICE: $149.99 USD)
• Dialogue AAC (Regular price: $99.99 USD; SALE PRICE: $49.99 USD)

Note: The App Store charges sales tax. Contact Apple if you are requesting a tax-exempt purchase.

How do I get the sale price?

Go to the App Store on your iOS device to make your app purchase at 50% off.

Can I purchase an app through PRC-Saltillo?

No, apps can only be purchased through the App Store. They are not available for purchase on the PRC-Saltillo website or any other websites, or by contacting PRC-Saltillo.

Can I use insurance to buy an app?

Please contact your insurance company to see if they offer reimbursement. Apps purchased separately from durable medical equipment like a speech-generating device are not fundable by insurance.

Do you offer a bundle for multiple apps?

There is not an app bundle, but schools can use the volume discount through Apple School Manager during the sale. This means schools will receive an additional 50% off the sale price with a purchase of 20+ licenses of the same app.

Can I get the sale price on volume purchases?

Yes! Schools can use the volume discount through Apple School Manager during the sale. This means schools will receive an additional 50% off the sale price with a purchase of 20+ licenses of the same app.

Are in-app purchases, like additional vocabularies and symbol sets, half off during the sale?

There are no discounts for in-app purchases, except within the our three Discover apps. Within the TouchChat Discover app, customers will receive 50% off an upgrade to TouchChat HD Lite, TouchChat HD, or TouchChat HD w/ WordPower®.  Within LAMP Words for Life Discover and Unity Discover, customers will receive 50% off an upgrade to the full app versions.

Can I use a purchase order (PO) to buy app(s)?

PRC-Saltillo will not accept purchase orders for the app sale. All apps must be purchased through the App Store.

We need a quote before purchasing. How do I get that?

Contact Apple for a quote. All quotes go through Apple to ensure the proper tax is applied.

Is the sale price available in the App Store or only from your website?

Purchase your apps at half price through the App Store. Apps are not available for purchase on the PRC-Saltillo website or any of our app websites.

I found the app on the App Store, but it’s not showing the sale price. What does that mean?

The App Store may not update for everyone at the same time depending on time zone and device settings. You may need to sign out and sign back in to the App Store or to Apple School Manager to refresh the information.

Apple School Manager

I can’t find the app in Apple School Manager.

If you aren’t finding the apps by searching by name, try searching by app ID number.

Apple took too long to get our funds loaded to our account. How can we still get the sale price?

App Sale Locations

Does this sale include other countries?

The app sale will be worldwide for TouchChat and Dialogue AAC and includes every country where LAMP Words for Life is sold.

Technology

Do your apps work even when not connected to WiFi or the internet?

You’ll need to be connected to WiFi or the internet to purchase and download. Once they are activated on your iOS device, most features will work without being connected to WiFi or the internet.

Are these available on Android devices?

No, PRC-Saltillo’s AAC apps are currently for iOS devices only.

Can I share the app between my iPad(s) and iPhone(s) and/or between family members?

Apps are downloaded to one Apple ID account. Apps can be shared to iPhones, iPads, iPods, or Mac Computers with the same Apple ID. Apps can also be shared within a family using Family Sharing.

I don’t have an iOS device yet. How can I get the app at the sale price?

Apps can only be purchased through the App Store on an iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Mac Computer.

• Anyone with an Apple ID can gift an app to someone else by gifting it to the recipient’s email address.
• Another option is to connect with a friend who has an iOS device. Ask your friend to log out of their Apple ID so you can create a new Apple ID. Purchase your app with your new Apple ID and then sign out. When you obtain an iOS device, log in to the App Store with your previously created Apple ID and download your PRC-Saltillo app.
